4th of July

On 4th of July, Summer's family always has a family reunion in Joplin at noon, so we started our day over there. Then, we came home and took naps. After naptime, we all went out to Jill's house to shoot off fireworks with all of Summer's family and Jerry's family. We had sandwiches and then shot off about 5 hours worth of fireworks. And we got some great pictures!!!

Three kids trying to show off their muscles! This is Jimmy and Johnny, Jacob's sons, and Raven just goofin around with the bottle rocket tubes. They were so impatient for the fireworks to start, so they needed something to entertain them... And cheesin' for the camera seemed to make them forget about waiting!
Once the fireworks finally got going, the kids were totally captivated... For all of 15 minutes!A whole porch full of adults too cool to help shoot fireworks... Just sitting around and yakking!

They made countless trips into the house for more water... They might not have been that thirsty, but it was entertainment for them, and it burned off some energy!
