Disney Princess on Ice!
Many of you have heard the story of Lucas telling me one Christmas that if any more Disney Princess pink sh!t comes into our house, he's gonna puke! Well, most of the girls things are one of those, either Disney, or princess, or pink, or even all 3! So, imagine my shock and dismay when Lucas calls me one day from work, tells me to go to this website, and maybe buy the tickets... When I see it's for Disney Princess on Ice, I didn't know what to do or think... My first instinct was to demand to know who I was speaking to and where my husband was and was he ok?
So, we bought tickets... And here's the really surprising part... We kept our mouths shut! The Saturday at the end of Spring Break, we woke up early and headed out of town towards Kansas City. We got to the Mall of the Great Plains and did lots of shopping and playing there while we killed time until show time. At about 1, we headed towards the Sprint Center... *Note to others going to the Sprint Center -- HAVE CASH!!! Parking is NOT free!*
The next 3 hours were a blur of pink, purple, princess, and Disney Magic that was just saccharine sweet! But completely enjoyable, for all parties involved! (Read - even daddy!)
This is Daddy and Raven, right when we got to our seats! Raven didn't know what we were doing there until just a few minutes before this picture was taken. She was ECSTATIC!!!
And this is Mommy and Riahna... And Riahna is holding a $20 Cinderella crystal ball light! Both of the girls got one, so having the credit card was nice! LOL!
We wanted to get the girls some cotton candy, but it was $10... We decided to get one, but then it came with a hat... Anyone with 2 kids knows whats coming... We had to get 2! Both of them loved the Flounder hats right off, but the cotton candy is another story! Raven still likes fuzz... Just like the stuffing inside pillow, stuffed animals, and blankets... She likes to hold it to her nose when she's going to sleep or relaxing. It just makes her feel better. Riahna knows what fuzz is, and she knows that Raven likes fuzz... When I tried to get her to eat a piece of cotton candy, she pushed my hand away and said "NO! Fuzz! Ravens fuzz!" and wouldn't eat it... I had to shove it in her mouth and then laugh at the face she made when I made her eat the "fuzz!" As she's trying to claw the melting cotton candy out of her mouth, she stopped and gave me a really funny look... And then she goes "MMMMMM, fuzz!" and holds her hand out for more! It was hysterical!!!
And this is Raven, looking beautiful in her Flounder hat! She's soooo ready for the show to start!
And there's the cotton candy that we spent $20 on! We brought $10 of cotton candy home, too!
And this is Daddy, before the show started... I was really surprised he wanted to go, but I was even more surprised that he was excited for it to start!
AHHHH! The cotton candy that cost Daddy a whole hour of work on his last paycheck! LOL!

And this is Riahna, before the show started... The Flounder hat has lost her attention, but she still wants more fuzz to eat! Yummy fuzz!

Another neat thing was during The Little Mermaid when they sang "Under the Sea!" It was just awesome... They had so many people out on the ice, as fish, seaweed, mermaids, etc! It was cool.
And then at the end, the brought out all of the princesses and their princes to skate together. Cinderella and her prince had a carriage that shot fireworks and was pretty amazing. Raven really liked that part! It definitely got everyone's attention!
So, we had a BLAST and we will definitely go back to something like that! In fact, in September we'll be going to Ringling Bros/Barnum and Bailey Circus called "Bellebration!" YAY!!!!

For some reason, Riahna really liked to wear her hat backwards! So, this was the view we had of Riahna for most of the show! She really really liked her hat!!!
And here's the other view we had of her, although we had the other one much more often!
Oh, Daddy is so whipped by his daughters... Riahna handed him the hat and said "Daddy wear!" and he did! LOL! And mommy was there to document it for him!
Ok, payback time! Daddy said "mommy wants to wear it!" and so Riahna brought it to me and Lucas happened to get his hands on the camera...

I talked the woman in front of us into taking a family picture of us... Out of 5 pics, this is the only one that turned out, but I like it, so it works! This is a pretty awesome family picture!!!!

You can't really tell what this is, but it's Jasmine and Aladdin skating to "A Whole New World". In the background, you can see the waterfall made up to look like the palace.
This one is much more clear... This is Snow White and Prince Charming skating together to their song... It was neat, but the next part pretty much stole the show!
They brought out the dwarves!!! And they sang "Heigh Ho" and the crowd went wild! Everyone was laughing and clapping and singing along! It was fantastic!

There were other neat things about the show... In Sleeping Beauty, there's the point were Maleficent turns into a Dragon to fight Prince Charming... So, she backs into the waterfall, which was a drawbridge at that point, and then skates back out as the dragon... The dragon was like kite material up on poles, with skaters underneath it... Then then dragon blew out a blast of fire and the fire snaked all the way across the ice and right up to Prince Phillip. It was awesome!!!

Within the first 5 minutes of the show, I looked over at Daddy and this is what I saw... He was cuddling both girls, at the same time!!! And everyone looked so happy, so I had to take a pic!
