A day in the life...

News!!!

So, we did have a little news last weekend.... We needed to make room in our house... We have something new coming... Are you ready???? We're getting a toy room!!! YAY!!! Our problem was that we clean Raven's room, and after a day, all the clothes are pulled out of the dresser and all the toys are out of the toy box... Then they mix together and become this terrible mess! So, we've decided to separate the two!

When we told Raven what we were thinking, she said "YAY", and then turned to her sister and said "Now when you cry at nite I can sing you a lullaby!" It was very sweet!

This is Raven in her new daybed... New to her! This bed has been at my gma Mickie's house for all of my life... I've been taking naps in that bed for 24 years! Wow! Me, my brother and all of my cousins! And now my kids are in it! LOL! Well, they were anyways, but now it's at our house!

This is Riahna in her new trundle bed... Just new to her, too! The cool part about this setup is that Riahna's bed goes under Raven's... During the day, we throw all the pillows on Raven's bed and push Riahna's bed under Raven's... Then the floor is clear! It's pretty awesome! And Riahna loves being in a big-girl bed, cause she went straight from her crib to this bed. And since it's on the floor, we don't have to worry about her falling off of a regular twin bed!

This is how the setup looks... You may ask "Is is smart to put their heads together like that?" The answer is no... But if we had put their heads at opposite ends, they would have just switched it, so this is the way it is! Yeah, they talk to each other, but less and less each nite, as they get used to it!
More of the big girls in their big beds!!! I'm not sure what they were looking at, unless it was the book Daddy was reading... Maybe!

This is Riahna saying her bedtime prayers... She has her eyes closed... For a minute! She never lasts through the whole prayer... And her hands stay folded for about the first 10 seconds!

They've been sleeping like this for a week now... It's working out pretty good... Nap time is suffering, but we've started putting one in our bed and one in their own bed... Once they can't talk to each other, nap time happens pretty quick! We'll keep you updated on this though!

And just so you know, yes, Raven did sing Riahna a lullaby the first nite... It was very sweet! She sang her rock-a-bye baby... And then she said in her little bossy voice "Now go to sleep, cause I'm not gonna sing you ANY MORE!" and 5 minutes later, both girls were sound asleep... Looking like little angels! *sigh* So sweet!

children always look so angelic when they're sleeping. it's a defense mechanism that God installed to keep the children alive longer!

love the bed and bedroom set-up -- it's perfect for BIG girls. plus, it's like a sleepover every night!

you are all so blessed and we LOVE YOU ALL so much!
