Birthday Dinner

On Raven's birthday, she had to go to dance class, but after that, she wanted to go to her favorite restaurant, Cafe del Rio. It was just going to be Mommy, Daddy, Raven, Riahna, and then Memaw and Gpa Jerry... Then, Raven decided we needed to invite Gma Mickie and Papa Galen, so they came. And while we were at dance, Raven invited Jaycie, her best friend from next door. Uncle Scott couldn't be there, because he had to work.... But he works at Cafe del Rio, so he was able to make an appearance!

But Memaw got quite a few cute pics!

Ok, well, Mommy took this one! Because Memaw is always behind the camera, so I took a pic to prove that she really was here later! This is Sissy getting jealous because Raven has Memaw!

This is Gma Mickie and Papa Galen... Who knows what Raven's telling them??!?!?!

This is Raven, and her very best friend Jaycie. These two are almost always together! It's convenient that they live right next door, but it's really rough that they live right next door! Just imagine, you get home from work or school and all you want to do it go sit on the couch and relax... Instead, as soon as you get out of the car, there's a screaming child running out of the neighbors house, waiting to grab your child and take her to the park... The reason I didn't name those roles is because you never know which one it will be. It's a mutual thing! So Mandy and I both have this feeling that living next door is a blessing and a curse at the same time! This is the birthday girl! She's so happy... Everyone came to her birthday dinner and she was so happy! She had such a good time!
And this is Jaycie! She was so happy to come to Raven's dinner! And of course they had to sit together! We weren't sure if that was a good idea or not, but it ended up working out ok!
Cutie patooties! They're so funny! They're either happy or fighting, but today they were happy!

This is when Uncle Scott was sneaking up on Raven... She doesn't even know he's there, yet. She was so surprised!!! It definitely made her happy to have him at her dinner, too... She was sad when she found out he wouldn't be able to come see her on her bday!

Unfortunately, Riahna was not as happy to see Scott as Raven was. Riahna is going through a Mommy phase. No one else is as good as Mommy now. Not even Daddy. If he tries to hold her, it just makes her cry and scream "mommy!!!" It's really irritating, because she wants me to hold her all the time! I have a 25 pound tumor on my hip!!! CONSTANTLY!

This is Gma Mickie and Papa Galen, again, along with the birthday girl!!! Look at that smile!

And, of course, we can't go to the mall without throwing pennies in the fountain! It used to be an open fountain, but a couple years ago, a little boy fell in and drowned. That was really sad. But then they fenced off the fountain. Then just a couple months ago, they ripped the fountain out and put in a water fall and tiny pool. It's really cute now! And I think the water gets about $5 a month out of us! That's our "support the mall" fund!

PS - Funny story about Raven and Jaycie! A couple of nites ago, it was one of those nites that Raven needed to go straight inside from the car and go to bed, but Jaycie and some other kids were out playing, so we stayed out for a while. Raven wanted to get her bike out, so Lucas helped her. Then Jaycie wanted hers. Jaycie said "Raven, your bike is just like mine!" And Raven explained "Well, yeah, but yours is pink and mine is purple. And yours is little and mine is bigger. That's because I'm all grown up now. I'm four, but you're still just three! I'm just grown up!" It was very funny to hear her explain that she's grown up now because she's 4!
