Riahna's Frenulectomy!

Well, Riahna had her frenulectomy this morning. We had to be there at 7am to start the pre-op stuff... This is her in the surgery gown. It's ridiculous how happy she is at 7:15, after being awoken at the un-godly hour of 6:40! She obviously doesn't know what she's here for!!!

Look at that angelic face! She's just too cute! And she was happy at this point in time!


This was when we went back to surgery. Mommy got to go back with her, until it was time for the doctor to come in... The anesthesiologist talked to me for a minute, and then had to hold this mask down over her face while she screamed and cried and tried to get away. But, the good news is that with that fit, she was breathing so hard that it only took 1 minute or so to put her under!


This is Raven being a goober while she waits on Sissy to get done. Raven was all dressed up to go to preschool. The picture is a little blurry because she wouldn't stop moving when I told her!


This is Riahna after surgery with Raven. Riahna's playing with her mouth because under her tongue is a little swollen, so it felt funny. Raven was so excited to see Riahna and give her a hug and a kiss... Then, Memaw got to take Raven to preschool! YAY!!! And Riahna had Mommy and Daddy to go home with.

We actually got to leave the office a little before 8am, and we went to McDonalds for breakfast and we were still home by 8:15. When we got home, she wanted to get down and walk, but she was still too disoriented from the anesthetic, so she just fell over. It took her a couple times of falling over to decide that walking sucks! Then she wanted on Mommy's lap. She was also really hungry, but she wanted everything and nothing. I gave her a popsicle, but she only ate 1/2 of it. She saw a granola bar and ate a bite or two, then crumbled it in her hand and threw it on the floor in a fit.

As I'm posting this, she's actually asleep, finally! She's so tired and disoriented and sore and hungry and whatever else she may be that she doesn't want to do anything, even just be nice! So, her hard part is over, now everyone needs to pray for her poor parents and their sanity!!!
