SICK!

So, the title says it all! We're sick here... Well, Lucas and I aren't sick, but the girlies are! They were both up Wednesday pm/Thursday am in the night, with these deep barking coughs that were really wet and gross... and with fevers, too! Raven woke up Thursday morning, ready to go to preschool, after she was done coughing and throwing up all over herself! She thought she could still go, because she's "not gonna frow up again!"

We made her stay home from preschool, and we had quite a day yesterday! And not a good one, either! After nap time, Raven seemed much better, but Riahna seemed much worse! We finally just took them to the emergency room at 5pm. After 3.5 hours of chest xrays, blood tests, and throat swabs, it was decided that they both had acute bronchitis, and Riahna also had acute/severe sinusitis! FUN FUN! That means that both the girls feel like crap and Lucas and I are ready to pull our hair out! But, you all should have seen Raven getting blood pulled! She just barely grimaced! No crying, no whining, just a big, brave girl!

They both got put on Azithromycin and Prednisone... That means that they're exhausted but can't sleep and they're both extra mean! Raven is actually too tired to be mean this morning, but not Riahna... Riahna is following Raven around picking on her! Finally Raven just said "Mom, do I have to stay out here? Can I go lay in bed and watch a movie? Can Riahna have to stay out here?" So, that's the deal... Raven's in her room watching Monsters, Inc. while Riahna is out here throwing fits!

oh, poor little darlings. so good to hear that it wasn't anything more serious, but bronchitis and sinusitis is bad enough. i'm sure there has to be a medically diagnosed mental disease for the parents during this time, but i can't remember the name of it.

raven, i'm so proud of you for being a good example for sissy on how to get your blood drawn. it's good for her to have a big sister to show her how things are done! you did such a great job, too!!

sending our love to ALL of you! hugs and kisses all around!
